We are so sad to say that this event has been canceled. As a result of unprecedented, and arbitrary cuts in Federal Arts and Humanities funding, Virginia Humanities (and state humanities councils around the country) lost a huge portion of their funding for programming and operating expenses. As a result, this amazing celebration had to be cancelled. We very much hope that we will be able to re-program this event in the near future. In the meantime, Virginia Humanities, who has been a long time supporter and funder of our work, is still holding on, and we dearly hope that they will rise out of this crisis stronger than ever.
